Bick-4 received its name because it does four important jobs. It cleans, conditions, polishes, and acts as a water repellent. It is because it of these four things that makes it ideal for keeping leather soft and supple while preventing the leather from drying and cracking. It is effective on all smooth finish leathers, including exotics. Bick-4 is a wax and silicone free product that will not seal pores of leather thereby allowing the leather to breathe. Bick-4 will not darken any colorfast leather or deteriorate the boot stitching, as it does not contain animal fats or caustic chemicals.
Bick-4 leaves no oily residue therefore it is safe to
use on leather boots, shoes, bags, purses, jackets, saddles, belts, and any
other smooth finish leather products. Comes in 8 ounce (Bick
1) and 8 or 16 ounce (Bick 4 ) sizes.

Had some old alligator, lizard & calf-skin bags I wanted to refresh & did a ton of research on the web to figure out what to do. I ended up primarily using the Bick 4 Cleaner & Conditioner, but I also got the Bick 1 for tougher areas. Biggest challenge: old lizard bag that had dried out & was very hard.
