This DMSO is veterinary grade. It is a highly penetrating solvent. This product is being sold as a solvent only. It is a hygroscopic, organic solvent that penetrates skin rapidly. DMSO has been a staple in the equine industry to reduce acute swelling due to trauma. It facilitates absorption of many other substances and medications across membranes. When combined with an antibiotic it will increase penetration when applied topiically. We do not represent in any way that this product is useful or safe for human medicinal purposes. DMSO is a colorless liquid derived from lignin, the natural material that bonds together the cells of trees. It is extracted during the manufacturing of pulp and then processed. It is an organic non-synthesized product. This is not medical (pharmaceutical) grade DMSO.
