I have 2 cats who love it, they always run to it when they need a scratch! The product is packaged with the base and the twisted wire comb separate, and is assembled by pushing both sides of the wire through two holes in the base. The pin-in-hole assembly isn't the sturdiest and the arch wobbles back and forth even if the wire is fully pushed into both holes, which makes its construction a bit cheap. However, the cats have not been able to separate the wire from the base after a month or so of using it daily, so it serves its purpose nevertheless.
