I bought my tank used and the screen had a hole in it. Not the best thing to keep in a corn snake in it?s habitat. So I was glad when this thing came in quicker than promised. At first I could not get it on my tank. It is built sturdy but that makes it hard to bend and manipulate to get it over the tank. I finally made it work and it slid on. Given that it is made out of metal it is heat resistance and can support the lamp. Definitely worth the purchase. bazojude andeson, Sat, Dec 29, 2012

I was having a hard time finding a screen to fit our bearded dragon tank. I was glad I found this one as it fits tightly. On top of that it was about half the price of others tops I found and is built for rugged. It has to support the heat lamp which is no issue for it at all. I have a cat and noticed that other have had a problem with them jumping on top and breaking the screen. Mine hasn't done that yet but the screen looks like it could withstand a little abuse. I have a 40 gallon terrarium without a lid. I definitely needed something for my turtles. Not to keep them in but to prevent stuff from falling into the tank as I have shelves over the area the tank sits and the kids are always messing with the stuff that is on them. I order this top and it came super fast (thank you!). It fits well . I have a pretty good size heat lamp for my bearded dragon and wanted something that could fit and withstand the heat. This thing fit the bill in that it is a metal screen cover. After some use it hasn't warped or shown any heat related issues. It fit like a glove which was something I was concerned about. The quality is outstanding as well. OK, so my cat keeps lounging on my habitat. Apparently he likes the heat that is coming from it. The problem is he damages the screen by jumping on and off. I read a few other people that have had this problem so I guess it is not all that unusual. I bought this as a replacement and the price was awesome. On top of that it is way more sturdy. This top was priced right so I purchased one. It fit well over my terrarium. My previous screen top was damaged when my young son put some heavy items on it. I was looking for something that looked a bit sturdier since I know this will happen again. Was not disappointed when it came in.
