DOG GATE / PET GATE COMPARISON CHART
Steel, plastic or wood are the primary materials used for pet gates. Most pet gates are
intended to use indoors only - but there are some gates that can be used out
doors, also.
Many sizes of baby or dog gates are available to fit the opening or the area
you need the gate to protect.
Installing pet gates is normally an easy task – pressure mounting or hardware /
wall mounting are the most common methods of mounting pet gates. Pressure
mounting gates allow you to easily remove your dog gate so that you can use it only
when and where you need it.
A hardware mounted gate is sturdy and cannot be tipped over very
easily. Some gates have a walk thru feature that allows you to get to the other
side easily with a latch. Our most common gate brands are Midwest
Pet Gates, Four
Paws Pet Gates and Bindaboo
Pet Gates.

This is a great gate for our purposes. It's well
made and sturdy. Our dog is small and not a jumper so
it works for us. Being that it's only 17 inches
tall it wouldn't work for everyone. Serves our need
perfectly!Dianne Hambly, Fri Feb 20, 2015
One of my eldery cats had been peeing outside the box
and after trying everything to retrain him, I
orderedone 3 panel and one 5 panel gate to keep him
confined on a tile floor while at work and sleeping.
They have been great! They are easy to manuever, fold
up and adjust. And best was no installing or hardware!
I was also worried about how they might look, but the
natural wood is nice quality and it blends right in to
the background. I could not be more pleased. Keely Smith , Tue Jun 18, 2013
Good quality - no complaints ..Bryan Korb, Fri, Mar 25, 2011
Gate was exactly what we needed. We have 2 beagles, and
one was having ACL repair surgery. needed a gate to
close off a section of our open floorplan, with easy
access to carry the beagle patient over the gate, while
keeping the other beagle contained. Lightweight,
excellent value, easy to store and quick shipping.
Highly recommended.Jennifer , Wed Oct 10, 2012
PEFECTION! Attractive, good quality, lightweight, and
lives up to the product description. I love the clean,
natural blond look, but would guess the gate could be
stained any color. Nowhere else have I seen a gate
only 17" tall that covers such a wide area.
I'll be back for more special needs when needed.

Well made and fits in with the decor! My puppy has the
protection she needs, and so does my berber carpeting!Rhonda, Sun Jun 03, 2012
This gate is well-crafted and easy to use--just quite a
bit shorter than I anticipated. However, my
medium-sized dog (for whom this gate could be as much a
barrier as a chalk line) is sufficiently intimidated
and stays behind. She does reserve the right to bark or
whimper, however. Recommended for smaller dogs, unless
yours is a wuss like mine and easily manipulated.Heather Blake, Mon Jan 02, 2012
I was looking for a gate that we could put at the top
and bottom of our staircase and in front of the French
doors leading to the pool as our dog is now blind. It
had to be wide enough to completely cover the expanse
of the stairs and doors and short enough to walk over,
as well as attractive and freestanding. This gate is
perfect and has given us peace of mind. Thank youCyndi Katz, Tue Feb 08, 2011
It works as indicated - but the darn dog keeps
barreling into it full speed and knocking it down.Linda, Thu Feb 03, 2011
I never thought I could find a gate to cover my 9 foot
opening. Not only did this cover the opening, no
damage to the wall to do it. Keeps my dogs out of the
carpeted family room. Great gate.Marion S, Tue Nov 23, 2010
I have found it difficult to to find a gate this wide
that is also attractive at a reasonable price. This
gate fit the need and has worked very well and is
inexpensive. I liked the fact that it was free standing
and did not need to damage our walls. I would
recommend it.Connie, Thu Oct 14, 2010
