Works well when it works, but is very difficult to recharge and runs less than one minute even when fully charged. It would be better if the mouse had internal batteries. My cat enjoyed it for the first few days, but now completely ignores it.Charles Raines, Tue Dec 04, 2012

My (adult) cats love watching this toy, and stalking it, although they don't touch it. The base unit takes 2x AA batteries, and the mouse charges on the base in about 45 seconds. There isn't much charge in the mouse, enough to go up and down the hallway a couple of times, but it's enough to get the cats interested.
