 Lyric Cardinal Bird Seed is blended with the right ingredients to attract more cardinals, grosbeaks and jays including Northern Cardinals, Evening Grosbeaks, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, Blue Jays and Stellar Jays.  It contains black oil sunflower seeds, striped sunflower seeds, safflower seeds, and buckwheat.

Birds with prominent, seed-cracking bills, commonly called grosbeaks, easily crack in-shell seeds like sunflower, safflower and buckwheat. These seeds preclude smaller birds with finer bills yet attract larger, colorful jays and cardinals. In instances where these birds are frequent feeders, Lyric Cardinal Food is an ideal choice. Blue Jays often scoop small seeds aside probing for larger sunflower. Cardinal Mix provides their fundamental choice every time - which saves you wasted seed. Likewise, the Northern Cardinal's favorites, safflower and black oil sunflower, will entice him again and again.

Feeder Tips:
Cardinals and grosbeaks prefer feeding on platforms. Ground feeding can be risky for the bird, so place the feeder in an open area where he can easily detect danger. Provide cover with shrubs and trees for the birds to fly to safely.
