Unique design allows for adjustability in width and length, because some hooves are quite long and narrow. Inserts act as an insole to fill in the width of the boot until the hoof naturally expands. Each insert consists of a leather pouch containing two layers of EVA foam which hook and loop into either side of the boot. When the horse’s hoof begins to expand, the inserts can be adjusted for size by peeling away one layer of foam. Set of 4, one for both sides of each boot.

Old Mac's strongly recommends that inserts be used only when absolutely necessary. If the hoof length measurement is 3 or more sizes than the width measurement, inserts may be needed.
