This beautiful nest box is made in the USA from durable western red cedar and designed to Conservation Commission specifications. Oval Hole Size is 3.75 x 3 inches high. Mounting hardware and complete instructions included. Your wood duck house should be mounted on a tree 10 to 20 feet above ground. Dimensions: 11 x 15 x 22-3/4 inches high.

The included wood chips serve as nesting material to help protect eggs and appeal to ducks since they cannot excavate nesting cavities on their own. Also inside the house, a wood ladder is fixed to the front panel, making it easier for ducklings to climb out when it’s time to learn to swim.  Under the roof’s overhang, a ventilation slot keeps the interior from overheating. Once your duck family vacates the structure, open the hinged front door to clean out their old nest.
